Google +1 button

Google +1 button an analog to Facebook Like ,another addon to its social network features. So what is this Google +1 button and how does this improve the results you get on google ?? Well its pretty straight forward you search for a term on Google,, say coffee and it provides you a list of results & if any of your google connected friends have opted for a serach result and clicked on the +1 button it is likely to show the results higher in the ranking when you search .
So how does it work ? When a signed-in user is searching google may show up results annoated with the name or number of persons who have +1d a search result . So you can see what web content your friends have +1d ,that means the content of a page maybe really useful. If none of your friends have +1d the result , Google shows the total number of persons who have shared the result. This actually gives you an idea on which results are more important from the public's view!!!!
Does it affect a sites performance on the Google Search Google says "Content recommended by friends and acquaintances is often more relevant than content from strangers. For example, a movie review from an expert is useful, but a movie review from a friend who shares your tastes can be even better. Because of this, +1’s from friends and contacts can be a useful signal to Google when determining the relevance of your page to a user’s query." This is definitely a positive move from the search engine giants to improve the quality of the search results shown .
Should I Add +1 button & how do I add it to my site? From my point of view its one of the best moves from Google to improve the search quality & search relevance.And +1 Google button will be in near future a must for all the sites if they want their sites to be shown in the top ranks in Google Search?
